Help! My cat is having trouble walking!?

My cat has recently been diagnosed with a Bladder Infection, and for some reason all of a sudden he has been acting drowsy and he can't jump high, he is wobbly when he walks, and he can't really go up the stairs. We gave him Valium , but I think it might be because his bladder hurts. Can anybody help?
