Mailing a letter to canada from the u.s.?

No. As long as you have adequate postage you can mail letters to Canada I cannot find on the USPS site where it says anything about special stamps. If you are mailing something larger than a letter, different rules apply. Of course, if you want to include a stamped return envelope it will need to have Canadian stamps on it.
